Each member of the Star Tutors team has demonstrated a desire to help students succeed in all aspects of their lives. We hire tutors that not only have significant tutoring and teaching experience, but also have had successful careers in other fields including architecture, medicine, accounting, and much more!

2021 ACT Winter program

We are excited to announce the ACT Winter Program, which will meet once a week for 12 weeks, with two breaks for MLK Weekend and Presidents’ Weekend. The class will meet on the following days, from 3-5pm PST. Classroom notes for specific classes are listed below each class. 

  • Saturday, January 9th - Proctored Practice Test 1

    • Test will begin at 8am PST and will end around 12noon PST.

    • Students won't be tested on the optional writing portion for either of the two Star practice tests.

  • Sunday, January 10th — Class 1

  • Sunday, January 17th — NO CLASS (MLK Weekend)

  • Sunday January 24th — Class 2

  • Sunday, January 31st — Class 3

  • Saturday, February 6th — National February ACT Exam

    • To register for the February ACT, please click this link.

    • Even though this classroom program officially prepares students for the National April ACT exam, we encourage all students to take the National February ACT exam as well in order to get more comfortable with the real testing environment!

  • Sunday, February 7th — Class 4

  • Sunday, February 14th - NO CLASS (President’s Day Weekend)

  • Sunday, February 21st — Class 5

  • Sunday, February 28th — Class 6

  • Sunday, March 7th — Class 7

  • Saturday, March 13th — Proctored Practice Test 2

    • Test will begin at 7:30am PST and will end around 12noon PST.

    • Students won't be tested on the optional writing portion for either of the two Star practice tests.

  • Sunday, March 14th — NO CLASS (due to previous day’s full practice test)

  • Sunday, March 21st - Class 8

  • Saturday, March 27th — Proctored Practice Test 3 (OPTIONAL)

    • Test will begin at 7:30am PST and will end around 12noon PST.

    • Students won't be tested on the optional writing portion for either of the two Star practice tests.

  • Sunday, March 28th - Class 9

  • Sunday, April 4 - NO CLASS - Easter Sunday

  • Sunday, April 11th - Class 10

  • Thursday, April 15th — Bonus Class/Comprehensive Review

    • Please note that this class will be on Thursday, not Sunday. This bonus class/comprehensive review will begin at 4pm PST and will likely last 2 hours.

    • Designed to be a final review for the April 17th test date.
